Notice was given by publication in the
Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town
of Mashpee on September 14 and 21, 1988, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town
Hall on Wednesday, September 28, 1988 at 7:30 p.m, at which time
the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting
throughout: William Hanrahan, Edward Govoni and Richard Halpern.
Attorney Frederick Grosser, representing the Applicant, informed
the Board that the lot now contains a summer cottage with a faulty
foundation and the owner proposes to rebuild. Abutters present were
in favor of the petition.
The Board determined that this Special Permit request would be an
improvement to the area. Upon motion duly made and seconded the
Board of Appeals motioned unanimously on September 28, 1988 to grant
the Special Permit as requested.
The Board established that granting this Special Permit would be in
harmony with the general purpose and intent of the ordinance or by-law
and would not be a detriment to the surrounding neighborhood.
