BOX 1108 . <br /> MASHPEE, MA 02649 <br /> DECISION <br /> i <br /> FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: Greenwood Homeowners' Association for a Special Permit <br /> Case: SP-89-02-24 <br /> A Petition was filed by the Greenwood Homeowners' Association of <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts for a Special Permit for permission to exceed <br /> the regulations of one sign per entranceway to a subdivision in an R-3 <br /> zoning district on property located at the intersection of Great Neck <br /> Road South and Great Pines Drive (Map 89) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the <br /> Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town <br /> of Mashpee on March 27, 1989 and April 3, 1989, a copy of which is <br /> attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, April 12, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> Michael Makunas, Richard Halpern and Edward Govoni. <br /> The Board was, informed that the subdivision was originally identified <br /> by one sign at the entrance. The former sign was hazardous to traffic <br /> and was not visable to those approaching the entrance. The Association <br /> proposes to install two signs -- one on each side of the entrance on <br /> the shoulders. Mr. Makunas requested that the petitioners provide a <br /> professional plan indicating the exact location of the new signs. <br />
