Yancey for a Special Permit
SP-89-03-33
A Petition was filed by James S. Yancey of Natick, Massachusetts
for permission to expand a non-conforming structure in an R-3 Zoning
District on property located in an R-3 Zoning District at 316 Great
Neck Road North (Map 52, Block 14) Mashpee, Massachusetts.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 4OA. Notice was given by publication in the
Falmouth Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town
of Mashpee on April 10 and April 17, 1989, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall
on Wednesday, April 26, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following
members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout:
William J. Hanrahan, Cheryl A. Hawver and Edward M. Govoni.
The Board was informed that the applicant proposes to convert a
seasonal dwelling for year-round use by adding a second floor and
an 8 foot addition. Letters were received from five abutters in favor
of the remodelling.
The Board determined that the use is in harmony with the general
purpose and intent of the zoning by-laws and that the extension would
not be a detriment to the neighborhood.
