MA 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> Re: Petition of Uldis Ozolins for a Special Permit <br /> Case: SP-89-02-19 <br /> A Petition was filed by Uldis Ozolins of Mashpee, Massachusetts <br /> for a Special Permit for permission to expand anon-conforming structure <br /> in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 23 Jeep Place (Map 118, <br /> Lot 111) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in the Falmouth <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on <br /> February 22 and March 1, 1989, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, March 8, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> Cheryl Hawver, Michael Makunas and Richard Halpern. <br /> The Board was informed that the applicant proposes to convert a <br /> ranch style home to a cape with the addition of a second story. <br /> There will be no change in the footprint of the house. Abutters voiced <br /> concern about loss of views. . <br /> The Board determined that the use is in harmony with the general <br /> purpose .and intent of the zoning by-laws and complies with the specific <br /> provisions of the by-laws. The Board established that the extension <br /> would not be substantially more detrimental to the neighborhood than <br /> the existing non-conforming use. <br />
