MA 02649 BOARD OF APPEALS DECISION FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT RE: Petition of Richard and Miriam Coffman SP-89-09-91 A Petition was filed by Richard and Miriam Coffman of Cambridge, Massachusetts for a Special Permit and/or Variance for permission. to _ build an addition on sonar tubes in an R-3 zoning district on property located at 105 Whippoorwill Circle .(Map 125, Block 150) Mashpee, Massachusetts. Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, ` on October 23 and October 30, 1989, a copy. of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A public hearing was.bel d`on the petition .at the Mashpee`Town Hall on Wednesday, November 8, 1989 at _7:30 p.m. and continued on Wednesday,, November 29, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Michael A. Makunas, William J. Hanrahan and Richard E. Halpern. Attorney William Henchy represented the. applicants. He informed the Board that the Coffmans .wish to add a pentagon-shaped,addition;_..: to the corner of the house. The addition would be supported by sonar tubes which would be hand dug. Mario DiGregorio, Wetland Consultant from Sabatia, presented. the Board with an Environmental Impact report on the site. He stated that there would be no impact on the site's flood storage capacity and that the hand labor would insure no adverse effects to the bank's stability. Mr. John Malloy, a direct abutter, reviewed the plans. He had concerns on the location of the well on the site but was informed that the Board of Health has jurisdiction on water and septic systems. There were no other comments from abutters.
