MA 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION <br /> + FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: Petition of Christopher Kordis for a Special Permit SP-89-10-100 <br /> A Petition was filed by Christopher Kordis of Sandwich, Massachusetts <br /> for a Special Permit under Section 6.3.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> construction of a dock, ramp and float on property located in an <br /> R-3 zoning district at 65 Buccaneer Way (Map 90, Block 8) Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 4OA. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, <br /> on November 27 and December 4, 1989, a copy of which is attached and <br /> i <br /> made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, December 13, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: William J. Hanrahan, Edward M. Govoni and Richard E. <br /> Halpern. <br /> John Slavinsky of Cape and Islands Surveying represented the <br /> applicant. He presented plans for a dock, ramp and 8' x 16' float <br /> in the Mashpee River. The float measures 42' from the high water <br /> mark. No comments were received from other Town Boards or from any <br /> of the abutters. <br /> The Board determined that granting this Special Permit would be <br /> in harmony with the general purpose and intent of the Zoning By-laws <br /> and would not be a detriment to the surrounding neighborhood. <br />
