MA 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: Petition of South Cape Beach Association for a Special Permit <br /> SP-89-08-84 <br /> A Petition was filed by the South Cape Beach Association for <br /> a Special Permit for permission to build a fixed pier, ramp and <br /> floating docks in an R-3 zoning district on property located at <br /> 9 Metacomet Road (Map 125, Block 97) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: <br /> S.C.C.A. Inc.) . <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 4OA. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on September 25, 1989 and October 2, 1989. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, October 11, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: Cheryl A. Hawver, Michael A.. Makunas and Richard E. Halpern. <br /> Robert Gauthier represented the application. He informed the <br /> Board that the lot in question is part of the reserve land of the <br /> South Cape Beach Estates and Quail Hollow Village. He explained that <br /> the South Cape Beach Civic Association is proposing to construct a <br /> seasonal ramp over an existing cement boat ramp. The Association had <br /> reviewed plans with the Conservation Commission and was informed that <br /> this location was acceptable. The Shellfish Constable had no <br /> objections to the plans as presented and the Harbormaster stated <br /> he was in favor of the dock and of community docks in general. <br /> Mr. Gauthier said that members of the Association had voted unanimously <br /> forthis location. <br />
