Tim
ofull of c,LitIShJPE
6 A
P. O. 80% 1106
e MASHPEE. MA 02649
BOARD OF APPEALS
DECISION
FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT
RE: Fields Point Limited Partnership for a Special Permit SP-90-18
A Petition was filed by Fields Point Limited Partnership of Mashpee,
Massachusetts for a Special Permit pursuant to the conditions of
SP-86-04-024 for the addition of two buildings within Mashpee Commons
in a C-1 zoning district on property located at 38 Nathan Ellis
Highway (Map 74, Block 20) Mashpee, Massachusetts.
Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts
General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The
Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee
on February 12 and February 19, 1990, a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town
Hall on Wednesday, February 28, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the
following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting
throughout: Cheryl A. Hawver, Michael A. Makunas and William J.
Hanrahan.
Douglas S. Storrs of Fields Point represented the Petition.
He informed the Board that there was a need for smaller spaces to
rent for seasonal use. He presented plans for Building 7A which
would be located near Building #8 and Building 12A which would be
a 12' x 40' liner building on the parking lot on Market St.
The Board questioned the design of the liner building and determined
that it introduced a new concept at Mashpee Commons in providing
spaces for seasonal use only. Mr. Storrs withdrew his application
for Building 12A. Upon motion duly made and seconded the Board of
Appeals voted unanimously on February 28; 1990 to accept the request
for withdrawal.
