MA 02609 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: James Reardon SP-90-70 <br /> A Petition was filed by James A. and Jane B. Reardon of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit to construct an in-law apartment <br /> in an existing single family dwelling in an R-5 zoning district on <br /> property located at 10 James Circle (Map 71, Block 79) Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on September 10 and September 17, 1990, a copy of which is attached <br /> hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town <br /> Hall on Wednesday, September 26, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: William J. Hanrahan, Michael A. Makunas and John J. Friel. <br /> Mr. and Mrs. Reardon informed the Board that they were building <br /> a 24' x 32' two-story house addition to an existing 24' x 36' cape <br /> style single family dwelling, and requested a permit for a second <br /> kitchen in the house. There is a separate entrance and exit to the <br /> proposed addition. Plans were submitted but did not show the proposed <br /> kitchen. <br /> Comments were received from abutters in favor of the application. <br /> Comments were received from the John's Pond Association in opposition <br /> to the application and some .association members considered the <br /> building a duplex. <br />
