MA 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> Re: Bosun's Marine SP-90-87 <br /> A Petition was filed by Bosun's Marine for a Special Permit under <br /> Sections 174-25.E. 1, 174-25.E.3, 174-25.E.5, 174-25.F.2 and 174-25.G.6 <br /> of the Zoning By-laws for permission to operate a retail business for <br /> marine supplies and boat sales and a boat and motor repair business in <br /> a C-2 zoning district on property located on Falmouth Road (Route 28) <br /> and 7 Bowdowin Road (Map 54, Blocks 6 and 64) Mashpee, MA. (Owner of <br /> record: Wayne R. Tavares) . <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on October 29, 1990 and November 5, 1990, a copy of which is attached <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, November 14, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> Cheryl A. Hawver, Michael A. Makunas and William J. Hanrahan. <br /> Timothy Leedham represented the application. He explained that <br /> the site will be used for the sale of marine supplies and boats as <br /> well as a repair business for boats and motors. He presented revised <br /> plans which had been approved by the Design Review Committee and <br /> explained that the chain link fence on the Route 28 sideline would <br /> be relocated to provide a wider buffei strip. Plans also included <br /> additional landscaping on the buffer strip and at the corner of Bowdoin <br /> Road. Mr. Leedham informed the Board that all motor oil from the <br /> servicing of the boats will be removed by a licensed contractor. <br />
