MA 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION <br /> FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: Petition of Fields Point Limited Partnership .for, a..Special,Permit <br /> SP-90-01-08 <br /> A Petition was filed by Fields Point Limited Partnership of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts, for a Special Permit under Section 174-25.D.2 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to construct a medical office building in a C-1 <br /> zoning district on property located at 51 Nathan Ellis Highway (Map 74, <br /> Block 35) Mashpee, Massachusetts. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 4OA. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on December 22 and December 29, 1989, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, January 10, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. at which time the following <br /> members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting throughout: <br /> Cheryl A. Hawver, Michael A. Makunas and William J. Hanrahan. <br /> Douglas S. Stoors of Fields Point Limited Partnership represented <br /> the Petition and reviewed plans for a medical office building which <br /> would be built in two phases. The first phase would be a 15,000 square <br /> foot two-story building with an adjacent 2500 entrance building and the <br /> second phase would be a similar 15,000 square foot two-story building <br /> on the other side of the entranceway. , Plans were revised to provide <br /> access for the Fire Department to three sides of the building. <br /> The Board of Appeals made the following findings: <br /> 1. The proposed use will not cause excessive demand on community <br /> facilities. Since this is a commercial project, it will create <br /> no increased demand on the Mashpee School System. Highwood Water <br /> Company will provide water to the project and sewage will be <br /> treated at the Petitioner's wastewater facility. Demand on other <br /> public services, such as fire and police, will be comparable to <br /> other commercial developments and not excessive. <br /> • C�e✓�c ��0'1 <br />
