MA 02649 <br /> BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> DECISION FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT <br /> RE: Fields Point Limited Partnership SP-90-72 <br /> A Petition was filed by Fields Point Limited Partnership for a <br /> Special Permit under Section 174-25.D.2 of the Zoning By-laws and the <br /> conditions of SP-86-04-024 to construct a portion of Building No. 19 <br /> for use as a medical office building on the first floor and up to <br /> three residential units on the second floor on property located in <br /> a C-1 zoning district at Mashpee Commons, 38 Nathan Ellis Highway <br /> (Map 74, Block 20) Mashpee, MA. <br />' Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts <br /> General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The <br /> Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee <br /> on August 27 and September 3, 1990, a copy of which is attached hereto <br /> and made a part hereof. <br /> A public hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall <br /> on Wednesday, September 12, 1990 at 7:30 P.M. at which time the <br /> following members of the Board of Appeals were present and acting <br /> throughout: Michael A. Makunas, Edward M. Govoni and B. Thomas Christian. <br /> Douglas Storrs of Fields Point presented plans for a 60' x 50' <br /> building which would be a portion of the planned Building 19 in the <br /> Commons. He explained that the first floor would be occupied by <br /> medical offices and four 700 sf residential units were planned for <br /> the second floor. The Design Review Committee had made some design <br /> changes in the building and Mr. Storrs explained that plans will be <br /> revised to include these. <br /> John Martino, Vice President of Support Services at Falmouth <br /> Hospital, informed the Board that the Hospital was very committed to <br /> opening this facility and hoped to have occupancy by July 1, 1991. <br /> He explained that they would start with officEs for two physicians <br /> and would expect to be open 5} days and 1 evening. <br />
