7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 29, 2000 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Sign Policy: <br /> The Board reviewed the Sign Placement Policy, and amended the policy to <br /> include the following; <br /> 1. ...dated application form, specific dates. <br /> 6. ...posted for no longer than(1) week <br /> 10. ...to be considered(1) month prior to placement <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to approve the Sign Placement <br /> Policy as presented and amended. <br /> Motion second by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Sieh Request—The Brain Center: <br /> Correspondence was received from The Brain Center dated June 3, 2000 <br /> requesting permission for a temporary sign to be erected at the Mashpee <br /> rotary to announce the upcoming program "Caring& Sharing". <br /> As per the newly approved Sign Policy, the Board requested the applicant <br /> specify the intended dates prior to the event. The sign as requested is <br /> 4'x5'. The new policy would take effect and if the sign has not been <br /> completed, the applicant shall adhere to a size no greater than 16 square <br /> feet. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request of The <br /> Brain Center for a temporary sign at the Mashpee rotary as <br /> stipulated. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> MMR ISSUES: <br /> Selectman Green indicated that the Senior Management Board voted 8-1 <br /> in favor of taking on the duties monitoring the impact Area located at the <br /> Base. It was noted that 3 of the 4 Board of Selectmen members were <br /> highly in favor of the change. It was also noted that the group presently <br /> monitoring the situation lacks representation from the Town of Mashpee. <br />
