Board of Selectmen
Minutes
August 19, 2002
OLD BUSINESS:
Planet Restaurant,Inc., d/b/a Michael's II Entertainment License
Continued:
Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above referenced agenda topic.
Selectman Taylor opened the Hearing for the purpose of continuing the
application of Planet Restaurant, Inc., d/b/a Michael's II, Kim J. Manoli,
Manager, for an Entertainment License at property described as 681
Falmouth Highway, Mashpee.
Michael Mattia was present on behalf of the applicant to discuss the
review of the Entertainment License application.
It was noted that the applicant has not met all of the requirements for
compliance. It was noted that the floor plan as submitted with the
application did not include dimensions. The change of the restaurant
• occupancy to that of night club occupancy would require a review of
egress, emergency lighting, and fire detection monitoring. An increased
occupancy load wall rating is required from 2 hours to 3.
Fire Chief George Baker was present for discussion. It was suggested that
the applicant review the matter in detail with the Building Inspector. With
building permit requirements, a detailed plan and wall specifications, the
Selectmen could approve the application with specific conditions.
Being no comment, the Selectmen continued the Hearing.
Motion made by Selectman Marsters to continue the application of
Planet Restaurant,Inc. d/b/a Michael's H for an Entertainment
License.
Motion seconded by Selectman Green.
VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0.
Selectman Leveille absent.
•
