Board of Selectmen <br />Minutes <br />May 16, 2016 <br />Review and Adoption of Beach Rules as Revised: <br />The Board of Selectmen reviewed the Rules and Regulations proposed for the use of Town Beaches. <br />With the Selectmen's approval signage would be placed at all Town beaches. The Lifeguards and <br />Gate Attendants on duty shall have the authority and responsibility to enforce the regulations. <br />With regards to the regulation imposing no umbrellas or tents, it was agreed that shade is necessary for <br />small children and others requiring limited sun exposure. Weather permitting, common sense would <br />be evoked if a tent or umbrella would become a safety hazard. <br />Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Rules and Regulations for the Use of Town <br />Beaches and signage with the amendment to umbrellas and tents for use weather permitting. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cahalan, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes <br />Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Opposed, none <br />Discussion of Pronosed Seasonal Farmer's Market/Artisan Event at Mashnee Communitv Park <br />Beginning June 15a' through September 1&" 2016 the Mashpee Farm Fare and Artisan Market will be <br />held on Wednesdays rain or shine at the Mashpee Community Park. The market will be open at 9:30 <br />a.m. for set-up and operate from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The season fee is $20 per week, a total of <br />$280 for 14 weeks. <br />Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Seasonal Farmer'sMarket/Artisan Market <br />at the Mashpee Community Park as referenced. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cabalane, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes <br />Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Opposed, none <br />
