1-74 <br />JArticle 19 To see if the Town will vote to accept <br />the following By -Laws for the Town Meeting. <br />Recommended by Finance Committee. <br />Town 'Meetings <br />Sec. 1. The Annual Town Meeting shall be held on <br />the first Monday of'March at such place as the Select- <br />men shall determine. The articles contained in the War- <br />rant shall be acted upon at 8:00 A. M. and election of <br />officers, all on one ballot under the Australian System, <br />the same day, the polls being open at 1:00 P. M. and may . <br />"dose at 5:00 P. M. <br />i Sec. 2. The Warrant for all Town Meetings shall <br />be directed to either of the Constables of the Town, and <br />said Warrant shall be served by posting attested printed <br />or written copies thereof at the. Town Hall, Post Office,, <br />and at the Three Town Bulletin Boards, seven days at <br />least before the day of such meeting. <br />Sec. 3. All articles to be inserted in the Warrant for <br />tan Annual Town Meeting be delivered to the Selectmen t <br />not later than the tenth day of February of each year. i <br />Finance Committee <br />Sec. 1. There shall be a Finance Committee for the i <br />Town consisting of five persons to be chosen at the An- a <br />nual Town Meeting for the term of one year. The Committee shall choose from among its <br />own members a Chairman and a Clerk. Vacancies in <br />said Committee shall be filled until the next Annual <br />Town Meeting by the remaining members. <br />Sec. 3. All the articles in any Warrant hereafter <br />issued for a Town Meeting, �� r"ems o N, , Sioxiso+ <br />44r �c[d shall be referred to the finance committee. The <br />Se ectmen after drawing a Warrant for a Town Meeting <br />shall immediately forward a copy thereof to each mem- <br />ber of said committee, which shall consider all - the arti- <br />cles in the Warrant and make such reports in print or <br />otherwise to the Town Meeitng as it deems for the best <br />i interest of the Town. Said Committee may consider <br />such questions with reference to the Town affairs as <br />they deem advisable and may consult with any and all <br />officers, boards, and committees of the Town. <br />The Committee may hold hearings if in their judg- <br />ment it be expedient. The Committee shall perform <br />such other duties as provided by statute. <br />Aca ept ea as read " <br />Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to divide <br />Waquoit Bay and place buoys on the line of said Bay: <br />to raise and appropriate $400 for the same. <br />Not recommended by Finance Committee. <br />Indefinitely Postponed <br />Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to give the <br />Surveyor of Highways of the Town full and complete <br />control and supervision of all works on the Highways <br />of the Town of Mashpee whether the same be general <br />repairs or special work or contribution and give him full <br />control and charge of any and all road working ma- <br />chinery owned by the Town, or take any other action, <br />thereon. <br />Recommended by Finance Committee. <br />Vatted as read <br />Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to raise and <br />appropriate the sum of $1450 for Foreclosure and to <br />liquidate any Tax Titles held by the. Town.
