TOWN OF MASHPEE WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN August 4, 1971 BARNSTABLE SS. Town of Mashpee MEETING To the Constable of the GREETINGS: 199 In the name of the Commonwealth of Masschusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitation of the Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elections, to meet at Town Hall on Wednesday, August 4, 1971, at 7:30 p.m. to act on the articles contained in the following warrant: The meeting was opened at 8:50 p.m, by Moderator, William Mills. Registered voters present at the beginning of the meeting were 92. The number later was counted as 129. ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds, the sum of $2,183,03, this amount to be used to refund to the Town employees deductions for Blue Cross and Group Insurance made in 1970 in excess of amounts which should have been deducted under vote of the Town at March, 1970, Town Meeting, wherein the Town assumed 3/4 of the cost of Blue Cross and Group Insuance cover- abe. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $$2,183.03. A unanimous vote. ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the amount of $597.00. This amount to be used to pay unpaid bills of 1970: Election & Registration Expense $5125.00 Park and Recreation Expense 460.00 Dr. Edward Fitdh 12.00 9c53 /ATO ACTION; Motion duly made and seconded article be amended to read: ' To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the amount of &585.00. This amount to be used to pay unpaid bills of 1970. Election & Registration Expensse $125.00 Park and Recreation Expense 460.00 378-5700 70 for, 3 opposed. A vote. ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take -:from available funds the sum of $02,500.00 for the Town Hall Maintenance Fund; such sums to be utilized in the construction of a garage for the town ambulance and for storage space for Civil Defense. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $52,500.00. A vote ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $125.00 to establish an expense account for the Board of Appeals. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $5125.00. A unanimous vote. 5. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or 'ARTICLE take from available funds the sum of 8400.00 to supplement the Dog officer's Expense Account for the remainder of the year. ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $400.00. A unanimous vote. ARTICLE 6.
