TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN <br />August 4, 1971 <br />BARNSTABLE SS. <br />Town of Mashpee <br />MEETING <br />To the Constable of the <br />GREETINGS: <br />199 <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Masschusetts, you are hereby <br />directed to notify and summons the inhabitation of the Town of Mashpee, <br />who are qualified to vote in the elections, to meet at Town Hall on <br />Wednesday, August 4, 1971, at 7:30 p.m. to act on the articles contained <br />in the following warrant: <br />The meeting was opened at 8:50 p.m, by Moderator, William Mills. <br />Registered voters present at the beginning of the meeting were 92. The <br />number later was counted as 129. <br />ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or <br />transfer from available funds, the sum of $2,183,03, this amount to be <br />used to refund to the Town employees deductions for Blue Cross and Group <br />Insurance made in 1970 in excess of amounts which should have been <br />deducted under vote of the Town at March, 1970, Town Meeting, wherein <br />the Town assumed 3/4 of the cost of Blue Cross and Group Insuance cover- <br />abe. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate <br />the sum of $$2,183.03. A unanimous vote. <br />ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or <br />take from available funds the amount of $597.00. This amount to be <br />used to pay unpaid bills of 1970: <br />Election & Registration Expense $5125.00 <br />Park and Recreation Expense 460.00 <br />Dr. Edward Fitdh 12.00 <br />9c53 /ATO <br />ACTION; Motion duly made and seconded article be amended to read: <br />' To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the <br />amount of &585.00. This amount to be used to pay unpaid <br />bills of 1970. <br />Election & Registration Expensse $125.00 <br />Park and Recreation Expense 460.00 <br />378-5700 <br />70 for, 3 opposed. A vote. <br />ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or <br />take -:from available funds the sum of $02,500.00 for the Town Hall <br />Maintenance Fund; such sums to be utilized in the construction of <br />a garage for the town ambulance and for storage space for Civil <br />Defense. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate <br />the sum of $52,500.00. A vote <br />ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or <br />take from available funds the sum of $125.00 to establish an expense <br />account for the Board of Appeals. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate <br />the sum of $5125.00. A unanimous vote. <br />5. <br />To see if the <br />Town <br />will vote to <br />raise and appropriate or <br />'ARTICLE <br />take from <br />available funds <br />the <br />sum of 8400.00 <br />to supplement the Dog <br />officer's <br />Expense Account <br />for <br />the remainder <br />of the year. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded the Town raise and appropriate <br />the sum of $400.00. A unanimous vote. <br />ARTICLE 6.
