Motion made and <br />seconded to accept Article 9A as amended, ote carried. <br />Meeting ajourned at 11:00 p.m, on Tuesday, May 3,1977 the meeting <br />opened at 8:25 p.m. with 257 in attendance <br />ARTICLE 10. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen <br />to petition the General court to enable a transfer of monies from the <br />Stabilization Fund to the General Treasury. (Submitted by the Selectmen) <br />Not recommended by the Finance Committee. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 10 as read. <br />Vote carried. <br />ARTICLE 11. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate <br />the sum of $ to purchase a rotary type riding mower for the <br />.Town Maintenance Crew. (Submitted bu the Board of Selectmen) <br />Not recommended by the Finance Committee. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to indefinitely postpone <br />ARTICLE 11. Unanimously Voted. <br />ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will vote to accept the layout mad6 <br />by the Selectmen a plan.,of widening of Old Barnstable Road from <br />Central Read to Lowell oad as shown on a plan dated January 15, 1977, <br />revised March 15, 1977, said plan being on file in the Town Clerk's <br />Lffice. (Submitted by the Board of Selectmen) <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded to accept Article 12 as read, <br />Unanimously voted. <br />ARTICLE 13. To see if the Town will vote to amend Article XIV,.Section <br />1, TOWN CONTRACTS of the January 1, 1977 Revised Mashpee Bylaws: <br />"On all contracts for labor, materials, supplies, equipment, <br />merchandise or other articles, wherein the amount Avolved is 8$500.00 <br />or more, the board, department, committee or officials of the town <br />in charge of the expenditure of such money, shall be required to submit <br />the awarding of the same to prblic bid and no expenditure shall be <br />permitted of 45500.00 or in excess thereof unless the same shall have <br />been awarded upon public bid." <br />By Adding: <br />However, this provision may be waived in any instance by the <br />Board of Selectmen & Finance Committee when it is determined to be in the <br />hest interedt of the Town." <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 13 beaccepted to read as <br />recommended by the Finance Committee. Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 14. To see if the Tom will vote to amend the Town of Mashpee <br />Zoning Bylaws Land Use Regulations, Section 6.3B Paragraph 13: <br />13, Country Club, miniature golf, swimming, teenis, or other re- <br />creational facility of a similar nature. <br />TO READ: <br />13. Country Club miniature golf, swimming, tenniss, or another re- <br />creational facility of a similar nature not operated as a business or <br />gain. (Submitted by the Board of Appeals) <br />ACTION: Moved and Seconded that Article 14 be accepted as amended. <br />Vote so carried. A 2/3 vote. <br />ARTICLE 15. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Town of Mashpee <br />Zoning Bylaws Land Use Regulations, Section 6.3B Paragraph 14: <br />14: Entertainment and recreational facility operated as a business <br />for gain including but not limited to bowling alleys, skating rink, <br />theatre, sports arena or concert hall provided that the neighborhood <br />is protected from inappropriate noise in any season.
