398 Town Meeting (Art, 49 continued) May 3, 1977 ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote carried.' ARTICLE 50. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $010,000.00 to be added to the Fire Department Capital Outlay Account. (Submitted by the Fire Department) Not recommended by the Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to indefinitely postpone. Vote carried. ARTICLE 51. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of$ for the purchase of One(1' ) Base Station Radio and'One (1) Mobile Transceiver For the Fire Depart- ment."'ag Submitted by the Fire Department) Recommended by the Finance Committee to be taken from the Fire Department Capital Outlay Account. ACTION: Moved and seconded that the sum of $3,762.00 be taken from the Fire Department Capital Outlay Account for the purchase of one Base Station Radio and the sum of $1,638.00 be taken from the Fire Department Capital Outlay Account for the purchase of one Mobile Transceiver. Motion carried. ARTICLE 52. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectment to grant an easement to New Bedford Gas and Edison Light,: Company (Cape & ineyard Division) for the installation and maintenance of poles, wires and apparatus and equipment on land of the Town of Mashpee from Lake Avenue in a southeasterly direction over.land-of said Town for a distance of four hundred (400) feet to a terminal pole, in a strip of land twanty (20) feet in width for electric overhead service -to property of the Town to serve water pumps and lighting and that the 'Town will clear the strip of land twenty (20) feet in width and maintain vehicle access for the electric company to install and maintain the said electric pole line. (Submitted by the Board of Selectmen) , ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 52 be accepted as read. Motion is carried. , ARTICLE 53. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to con- tract with the New Bedford Gas and Edison Light Company to install and maintain the Following street lights (Mercury Vapor, 4,000 Lumen) 2 - Lights on Poles 22/32, 22/28 on Quinaquisset Avenue 1 - Light on Pole #4 corner of Mashpee Neck Road and Ships Rudder Drive 1.- Light on Pole #2/46 on South Sandwich Road 1 - Light on Pole #68A Intersection of Route #130 and Pickerel Cove Rd. 1 - Light on Pole 1#69 on Great Neck Road -Entrance to Senior Citizens' Center 1 - Light Pole #36, Old Barnstable Road 1 - Light Pole #194/30, Old -Barnstable Road 1 - Light Pole #260/1 Asa Meig Road (Submitted by Residents of Mashpee) ACTION: Moved and seconded to accept Article 53 as read. Vote carried. ARTICLE 54. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to grant an easement to New Bedford Gas and Edison Light Company (Cape & Vineyard Division) in a strip of land ten (10) feet in width, extending from the South -Westerly sideline of Old Barnstable Road at Riser Pole No. 194/15) and rummimg Westerly over land of the Town of Mashpee four hundred twenty (420) feet, mote or less to a trans- former pad mount number 10126/020 to the Mashpee Middle School to , provide electric service to the Mashpee Middle School. (Submitted by the Board of Selectmen) ACTION: Moved and seconded to accept Article 54 as read. Vote carried. ARTICLE 55. To act on any other business that may legally come before said meeting. ACTION: No other business acted upon. The meeting was ajaurned at 10:05 p.m. on May 3, 1977.
