11 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> July 10, 2017 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Acceptance of resignation from the Mashpee Housing Authority,Melissa Phillips: <br /> A letter of resignation was received from Melissa Phillips dated June 22, 2017 resigning from the <br /> Mashpee Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Additional communication was received from <br /> Deborah Dami; Town Clerk dated June 26,2017 recommending the Board accept the resignation of Ms. <br /> Phillips with regret. And further, Mrs. Dami recommended the Board advertise the vacancy for a future <br /> joint appointment by both the Board of Selectmen and Mashpee Housing Authority for a term to <br /> expire at the May 2018 election, at which time the position would be placed on the ballot for a <br /> two-year unexpired term. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to accept the resignation from Melissa Phillips from the <br /> Mashpee Housing Authority with a letter of regret and advertise the position vacancy. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalanc,yes Opposed, none <br /> Discussion of changing Waterways Commission meetings to evenings: <br /> The Board of Selectmen discussed changing the meetings of the Waterways Commission from mornings <br /> to evenings. It was agreed the WWC would be requested to give input into this matter. <br /> Discussion of FY 18 Board of Selectmen goals and objectives: <br /> It was noted the Board of Selectmen are contractually obligated to articulate Town Manager goals and <br /> objectives. Chairman Thomas F. O'Hara recommended each Board member provide 3 Town Manager <br /> goals and objectives for collective review at the next meeting. <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated he would bring forth recommended goals and objectives <br /> associated to his duties as well. <br />
