4 Board of Selectmen Minutes July 10, 2017 APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS A roval and execution of Deed for conveyance of four 4 open space land parcels to the care custod and control of the Conservation Commission,Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent: At their meeting of June 22, 2017,the Mashpee Conservation Commission signed the Acceptance of Deed for the Blue Castle Drive open space parcels (56 & 57 Blue Castle Drive and 56 DeGrasse Road, Mashpee). Andrew McManus, Conservation Agent was before the Board to recommend approval of the Deed for the conveyance, of four open space parcels of land to the care, custody and control of the Conservation Commission. It was noted this is a condition of approval of the Blue Castle Drive subdivision as per the Mashpee Planning Board Special Permit. The parcels lie within the boundaries of the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge. The open space would provide increased habitat for wildlife and undeveloped land for groundwater recharge. Attorney Brian J. Wall was in attendance representing BCDM, LLC,the developer of the subdivision known as Blue Castle Drive. The parcels of land are located off DeGrasse Road, Carriage Road and Blue Castle Drive and referenced as Open Space A, Open Space B, Open Space C and Open Space D. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve and execute the Quitclaim Deed for the Subdivision known as Blue Castle Drive as presented. Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalan,yes Opposed,none Public Hearing: Application for Weekday& Sunda Entertainment New Scabury Resources Management, Inc. dba New Seabury Athletic Club,Paul M. Kruzel, Manager: The Board of Selectmen opened the Public Hearing on the application of New Seabury Resources Management, Inc., d/b/a New Seabury Athletic Club and Pool House, Paul Mr. Kruzel, Manager, for a Weekday Entertainment License and a License for Public Entertainment on Sundays. The establishment is located at 60 and 80 Cross Road, Mashpee, MA. The Hearing notice was read aloud into the record in accordance with posting procedures. Paul M. Kruzel, Manager in attendance to review the.license application with the Board of Selectmen. It was disclosed the Public Hearing was previously advertised and scheduled for the Selectmen's June 19, 2017 meeting. The Hearing was continued due to the lack of representation. Mr. Kruzel apologized for not attending Hearing, and is now aware of the Selectmen's policy with respect to required attendance at hearings. It was disclosed that during the past three weeks,the facility was not utilized.
