Draft 46 September 7, 2017 <br /> "Marijuana cultivator", an entity licensed to cultivate, process and package marijuana,to deliver <br /> marijuana to marijuana establishments and to transfer marijuana to other marijuana <br /> establishments, but-not to consumers. <br /> "Marijuana establishment", a marijuana cultivator, marijuana testing facility, marijuana product <br /> manufacturer, marijuana retailer or any other type of licensed marijuana-related business. <br /> "Marijuana product manufacturer an entity licensed to obtain, manufacture, process and <br /> package marijuana and marijuana products, to deliver marijuana and marijuana products to <br /> marijuana establishments and to transfer marijuana and marijuana products to other marijuana <br /> establishments, but not to consumers. <br /> "Marijuana products", products that have been manufactured and contain marijuana or an <br /> extract from marijuana, including concentrated forms of marijuana and products composed of <br /> marijuana and other ingredients that are intende <br /> produ ,d.for use or consumption, including edible <br /> cts, beverages,topical products,ointments;oils and tinctures <br /> "Marijuana testing faciltty. an entity licensed -.to test marihuana and marijuana products, <br /> including certification for potency and,the presence af:eontaminants. <br /> "Marijuana retailer", an entity licensed to purchase- and deliver:-marijuana and marijuana <br /> products from marijuana establislirnents and to deliver,sell or otherwise transfer marijuana and <br /> marijuana products-to marijuana establishments and ta;consumers <br /> Limited Number-of Retail-Marijuana Establishments <br /> Mashpee'.shall allow one fewer Retail Marijuana Establishment than twenty percent of the <br /> licenses within Town for the sale of alcoholic beverages for the siting of a Retail Marijuana <br /> Establishment. <br /> Submitted by the Board of Selectmen <br /> Explanation: Mashpee currently has nine (9) licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages within <br /> Town. Twenty percent (20%) of the-nine (9) licenses is 1.8. Fewer than twenty percent (20%) <br /> equals one (1)for the Town of Mashpee;therefore,currently only one location would be allowed <br /> for the'siting of a Retail Marijuana Establishment. If the number of licenses for sale of alcoholic <br /> beverages should change,the number of Retail Marijuana Establishments could change,thus this <br /> Bylaw does not cite a specific number but rather a formula for calculating the number of Retail <br /> Marijuana Establishments that are allowed. <br /> The Board of Selectmen.recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of x-x <br /> The Finance Committee recommends Town Meeting approval by a vote of 4-1 <br /> � 7 <br />
