i <br /> Y 1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minute <br /> February 2 , 20 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Acceptance of Desi nation—Historical Commission: <br /> Correspondence was received from Beth Zuniga dated FebnmU 6, 2003 <br /> requesting the Selectmen approve her resignation from the Historical <br /> Commission. <br /> Motion mace by Selectman Cahalane to approve the resignation from <br /> Beth Zuni a from the Historical Commission with regret. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous, --o, <br /> Request of Popponesset Association: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Popponeset Beach Association <br /> dated January 1 , 2003 requesting permission to dispose of seaweed in the <br /> composting area of the Mashpee Transfer Station. <br /> memorandum relative to this regard was submitted by Glen Harrington, <br /> Health Agent i support of the request. It was noted that seaweed <br /> enhances composting effectiveness and when nixed with yard waste, it is <br /> used for horticultural purposes. <br /> Notion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the request of the' <br /> Popponeset Beach Association to dispose of seaweed in the <br /> composting area of the Transfer Station if there is no negative impact <br /> to the operational contract of the Transfer Station. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -0. <br />
