Duration of Leave. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to table the approval of Policy 075 to the next meeting. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br /> Review of Capital Improvement Program Schedule—Town Manager: <br /> A summary regarding the FYI Capital Improvement Program for FY 19 was distributed to the Board <br /> of Selectmen for informational purposes. (enclosure) <br /> The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) meeting schedule begins on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. <br /> Approval of Petition to erect two (2) 20 MPH Speed Limit Signs—..Canonchet Avenue, <br /> Lead Petitioner, Meredith Chadwick: <br /> The Board of Selectmen was in receipt of a petition from the residents of Canonchet Avenue dated <br /> October 10, 2017 from at least 50% of the property owners requesting permission to place (2) 20 mph <br /> speed limit signs on the street due to excessive speeders and traffic. <br /> Meredith Chadwick, the lead petitioner was in attendance to request the Board of Selectmen approve <br /> the petition, and to allow the residents of Canonchet Avenue to purchase and install the signage. <br /> Town Manager Rodney C. Collins indicated pursuant to Chapter 90 §18, standard signage must be in <br /> conformance with Town policies. Ms. Chadwick responded by stating the signage is intended to <br /> conform exactly, same shape and size to existing Town signage. Additionally,the signage to be <br /> purchased by the residents would include illumination during dark hours. <br /> In considering this proposal it was agreed the signage should conform to Town regulations, and be <br /> subject to the approval of the Director of Public Works. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Canonchet Avenue Petition with signage to <br /> be purchased by the homeowners in compliance with State and Town regulations, subject to <br /> the review of the DPW Director. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br />
