The voucher was signed by Planning Board members.
OLD BUSIlVESS
Status of Ockway Highlands Subdivision Development-Mr. Fudala stated that Mr.
Morin was out of town but anticipated him requesting an inspection by Mr. Rowley. Mr. Fudala
also reported Ms. Laurent had communicated concern about the curb cut off of Degrasse Road.
Ms. Laurent had stated that she would allow a week for repairs but would pull the curb cut
permit if not completed. Mr. Balzarini confirmed that the area was in bad shape and could have
been done better. Mr. Rowley stated that the trench should have been compacted with temporary
mix for the winter.
Chairman's Report-The Chair stated that the advertisement for Town Planner had been
posted, with applications due 11121117. The Town Manager anticipated initiating the interview
process during the first week of December. Mr. Cummings and Mr. Balzarini would be involved
in the selection process. It was unclear whether Mr. Fudala would be involved in the process,
but he expressed interest in being involved. The ad began running November 2.
The Chair was in attendance at today's Cape Housing Institute and referenced the.Regional Land
Use Map from the Cape Cod Commission, identifying activity centers with infrastructure and
capacity to allow for multi-family and high density zoning, including Mashpee Commons. It
Appeared that relief would be granted to those areas. The Chair recommended that the Planning
Board pursue local codifying since areas in Mashpee would receive jurisdictional relief from the
Regional Policy Plan. It was suggested that the Town may receive less mitigation funds for
projects and it could reduce the required addition of affordable housing. Mr. Weeden indicated
that the Cape Cod Commission may support the higher density and improved infrastructure as
less costly. Mr. Balzarini inquired about the benefit to the Town. The Chair will invite Paul
Niedzwiecke from the Cape Cod Commission to discuss the issue further. The next Mashpce
Commons meeting will be Saturday, December 2 at the library. Mr. Weeden added that a public
meeting would also be held at the Tribal Headquarters at 6 p.m. on December 11.
Community Preservation Committee-The Chair reported that the CPC would be
meeting on Thursday. There will not be a vote on the applications, but the Chair would provide
an update prior to the vote.
Report on Status of Greenway Project-The footbridge project was being managed by
Ms. Laurent and an application for CPA funds would be reviewed by the CPC.
Design Review Committee-No meeting
Environmental Oversight Committee-No update
Historic District Commission-No update
MMR Military Civilian Community Council-Update of MMR Joint Land Use
Study-No update
Cape Cod Commission-No update
CORRESPONDENCE
-April 2017 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Village N=5.5
-May 2017 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Village N=5.8
-June 2017 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Village N=41
-July 2017 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Village N=10.7
-August 2017 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Village N=5.9
5
