Motion: Mr. McKay moved to continue the hearing at the request of the applicant,
seconded by Mr. Anderson. Vote unanimous 6-0
6:18 William Lento and Daniel Daly, 35 Timberlane Drive. Application to permit
existing dock.
Resource Area: Land Under Waterbody and Waterways
Mr. Lento, homeowner, explained the dock was in place when they purchased the
property but has no permit. The Agent said the dock precedes the bylaw. He said there
is no record of a permit in the Conservation files and the state is researching their
records. The purpose of this hearing is to get the footprint on record under an RDA
permit. If the State doesn't have any record, the owner can take this RDA to the State
because that is what they require and then they can do their.permitting. The Agent
noted docks need to have the home address displayed in perpetuity so they. can be
identified from the water.
No comment from the public
Motion: Mr. Shaw moved a negative determination, seconded by Mr. McKay. Vote
unanimous 6-0
PREIPOST-HEARING AGENDA:
Update: Conservation Commission training 11/18/16 2-3 pm.
The Agent noted the Conservation Commission training will be held on 11//18116 and will
include review of the important aspects of the Bylaw as well as the State Wetlands
Protection Act and meeting protocols, any ethic or conflict of interest questions. He said
it will be advertised as a public meeting.
Grant Updates:
The Agent announced that we did not get the grant he submitted to, Division of
Ecological Restoration for the Upper Quashnet. It is a yearly grant and we will apply for it
next year.
Katelyn Cadoret is working a couple of grants. One is for Mass Dept of Fish and Game
for $50,000 and the other for Mass Environmental Trust. We have identified an
abandoned bog near Santuit Pond north of the fish ladder that would. be a good n
candidate. The other grant from Mass Environmental Trust will be for the erosion of the
fish ladder at John's Pond. He 'sent the information to Tom Eagle because they may
able to get assistance from him.
Motion: Mr. O'Neill moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Anderson. Vote
unanimous 6-0. Meeting adjourned 7:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Judith tgneaualltecording Secretary
4
