R—EVISED ' <br /> LANDDISPOSITION GREEMIE Ti <br /> Y AND BEEN <br /> THE TOWN OF MASHPEEt <br /> AND 4 <br /> r <br /> I A`s'FOR HUMANITY OF CAPE COD,INC, <br /> .GREMENT made as of'the�day of September 2014, between the <br /> TOW' OF MASBIPEE, a Massachusetts municipal eorpoxation having its offices at 16 <br /> Great Neck Road,Mashp e, NIA 02649 (the"'Town") and HABITAT FOR <br /> HUMANI'T'Y OF CAPE COD,INC.,a Massachusetts non-profit corporation having its <br /> offices at 411 Main Street, Suite 6,Yarmouthport,MA 02675 ("Habitat'), (and <br /> collectively, the"parties"'). <br /> WHEREAS, the Town owns Parcels of land in Mashpee,Barnstable County, <br /> Massachusetts, commonly down and numbered as follows: <br /> 1.' lob Orebard Road, Assessor's Map 69, Block 18,consisting of 19,500±sq. <br /> ft . <br /> 2. 68 Strawberry Avenue also known as 132 Quinaquisset Avenue, Assessor's <br /> Map 69,Block 6, consisting of 10,000±sq. ,; and referred to hereinafter as <br /> 132 Quinaquisset Avenue. <br /> (Each hereinafter referred to individually as a"Pareel"and collectively"the <br /> Parcels"); . <br /> \ i <br /> WHEREAS, the Town acknowledges an objective to create affordable housing <br /> that wal es towards a state-mandated goal of having 10%of the Town"s year-round <br /> housing stock affordable; and <br /> WHF,R AS, Habitat is a non-profit corporation and an affiliate of Habitat for , <br /> Humanity International, engaged in the construction of homes for families in need of <br /> housing through the use of private donations of money and materials, volunteer labor and <br /> sweatequity;and <br /> WHEREAS, Article 16 of the Special Town Meeting warrant,adopted by a <br /> majority of eligible voters at the Special Town Meeting of October 21,2013, authorized <br /> that"...those Parcels shown on the FY 2013 Mashpec Assessors" Maps as Map ap 69, Bloch <br /> 1 (108 Orchard Road) and Map 69, Block 6 (132 Quinaquissett Avenue)shall not be <br /> held by the Town as conservation land; and further;vote that said Parcels shall be <br /> transferred from the care and custody of the Custodian of Tax Foreclosed Property to the <br /> Board of Selectmen for purposes of d nation or sale to an entity or entities engaged in the <br /> development of affordable dousing for sale or rental to persons of low or very lour . <br />
