MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to close the public hearing. Mr. Kooharian <br />seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to change the name from Winslow's Road to <br />Winslow Drive. Mr. Kooharian seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />BOARD ITEMS <br />Old Business <br />Design Review Committee -Mr. Cummings reported that there was no meeting <br />Community Preservation Committee -Mr. Fudala forwarded the draft Warrant to Board <br />members. Mr. Fudala suggested changes to the explanation of some of the Articles, regarding <br />the bridge project and land purchase. The changes had been forwarded to the Board of <br />Selectmen's office. The Chair announced that the Special Town Meeting would take place on <br />May 2. Draft Warrant Articles include the Greenway Footbridge, boat ramp and open space <br />purchase. There would also be a Petition Article from the Tribe. <br />Environmental Oversight Committee -Mr. Cummings reported that the Cape <br />Environmental Action Group had addressed the Committee regarding the prohibition of single <br />use plastic bags. In addition, a site had been selected in Mashpee to study whether or not a <br />permeable reactive barrier would be effective. In addition, Mr. York was working to develop the <br />new Resources Department, as well as growing shellfish seed and harvesting green crabs. Water <br />duality monitoring continued and the algae bloom was still visible in the estuary. Regarding the <br />Quashnet River Restoration, a river realignment feasibility study was being pursued. In addition, <br />the Falmouth Rod & Gun Club wished to purchase the Farley Bog to restore the pond. The bog <br />was partially owned by Mashpee, along with Falmouth. There was also discussion regarding a <br />prescribed burn for the New England Cotton Tail that had been placed on hold for further <br />investigation of possible rabbit activity. <br />Historic District Commission -Mr. Fudala reported that there was a finding of Non - <br />Applicability for an application received. <br />MMR Military Civilian Community Council -Update of MMR Joint Land Use <br />Study -No update <br />Report on Status of Greenway Project -An Article for funding of the footbridge would <br />be considered at the Special Town Meeting. <br />Status of parking facilities at 168 Industrial Drive -No update <br />New Business <br />C. Rowley February Billings -No billings were received <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br />-November 2015 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Market Place N=4.1 <br />-December 2015 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Market Place N=5.2 <br />-January 2016 Discharge Monitoring Report for South Cape Market Place N=4.8 <br />-Citizen Planner Training Collaborative Conference -Mr. Fudala stated that it was an all -day <br />event held on March 19 at a cost of $65. <br />WATERWAYS <br />2 <br />
