Figures will change once the budget is approved. <br />Accounts Pa ables: Mrs. Botsford presented the warrants for signature, The warrants for signature <br />tonight are for the month of October 2015 and total as follows: $35,432.47 for 4001, $4,332.00 for <br />Section 8, $40,380.00 for MRVP, $50,901.98 for Asher's Path Apartments, $979.90 for HAP, and <br />$10,544,16 for Great Cove Community. <br />We have all residents paid in full at all developments. We are 100% occupied at Homeyer Village and <br />Breezy Acres. We have one vacancy at Asher's Path that we are working on filling by next week. We <br />have one vacancy at Great Cove Community which an applicant is being processed for. The previous <br />tenants vacated and left the unit filled with debris. It is almost cleared out and we hope to have it ready <br />to rent within another week or two, A motion was made by Richard Halpern and seconded by <br />Kevin Shackett to accept the Treasurer's Report as presented. The motion was adopted. <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT„& UPDATES: <br />Mrs. Botsford stated she had mailed her report for October and had the following additions: <br />• Brewster Housing Authority: Capital Improvement jobs underway, including a major septic <br />replacement at the family/Chapter 705 site. An RFP for a new development, Brewster Woods, <br />has been issued. <br />• Carol's office is done, We came in under -budget by approximately $3,500,00 <br />• DHCD rejected our budget twice and I've sent an email asking for a telephone conference with <br />me and Tom Joy. <br />• Asher's Path Budget has been submitted to MassHousing and MHIC. <br />• I attended the CPC meeting earlier this week to present our application for funding for the <br />Housing Assistance Program. It was very well received and I received a lot of positive feedback. <br />• We received an award from MassHousing for reaching our goals for MBE= (minority lousiness <br />enterprises) for Asher's Path this past year. I couldn't attend because MHIC was doing their <br />property review that day, <br />• I attended Spectrum training this month, as well as a training done by MassHousing Partnership. <br />• I will be attending the MassNAHRO fall conference this Sunday — Tuesday and Will be presenting, <br />• I put our request in to DHCD for a waiver with regards to doing bi-annual recertifications but <br />have not received approval yet. That process starts in December, so I'll stay in contact with <br />DHCD to try to get it approved ASAP. <br />• We had court today for an Asher's Path eviction for smoking. Case was continued to next week <br />because the resident was ill. I expect an agreement to be reached next week for him to move <br />out. <br />OLD BUSINESS: none <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />a) Fee Accountant Contract renewal: Mrs. Botsford presented the proposed contract to the board. <br />The only clause changed from the last contract (highlighted in red) is that the housing authority <br />can terminate for cause only. A motion was made by Richard Halpern and seconded by <br />Melissa Phillips to approve the contract with Tom Joy as presented with change. The <br />motion was adapted. <br />b) Travel Stipend Increase: Mrs. Botsford's travel stipend has not been increased since it went Into <br />effect. Since then, since we have taken on the management of the Brewster Housing Authority, <br />and her travel has increased significantly, Mr. Laporte recommends an increase of 20%.
