Coombs Improvement Plan 2015-2016 <br />Objective and Wtiatives: <br />ObjectiveAk <br />: EFFECTIVE USE OF DATA <br />Implement aligned systems of assessment and inquiry that use multiple sources of data to inform <br />classroom practice <br />Initiative 1: <br />Apply common assessments to measure student progress and provide targeted <br />Interventions, to inform instruction that improves student learning. <br />Initiative 2: <br />Provide professional development on how to effectively use data to inform practice. <br />Initiative 3: <br />.align School Improvement Plans and educator goals with district goals to ensure <br />ongoing improvement of student learning. <br />Action Steps: <br />W Develop and implement standards-based report cards for kindergarten. <br />w Expand STAR assessments to include mathematics. <br />w Utilize data from assessment to determine taxgeted intervention. <br />w Schedule periodic progress monitoring meeting between teacher and <br />administrator. <br />W Utilize staff meetings to provide professional development on reports and tools <br />available in STAR that, can be accessed to better understand student needs and <br />set student goals. <br />w Participate in regular update on progress of initiatives at School Council <br />meetings. <br />Measures of Success: <br />w Grades kindergarten through second grade will utilize a standards-based report <br />card. <br />w All students in grades one and two will be assessed using Star Reading and <br />Mathematics. <br />w Periodic progress monitoring meetings will occur between classroom teachers and <br />administrators. <br />w The KC Coombs School Improvement Plan is aligned to the District's <br />Strategy for District Improvement. <br />}-.°m <br />us <br />1 <br />
