5 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> Apgust 1 , 2007 <br /> NEWBUSINESS: <br /> Liaison AssigMents U date: <br /> ro'ect Approved at the October 2006 Town Meeting.- <br /> The <br /> eetxn .The Quashnet School Helping Hands Playground is deemed complete and <br /> successful for the community. <br /> The Kids Klub Pre-School Playground Equipment is expected to be <br /> installed this week. <br /> The Heritage Park Expansion—Phase I project is advancing and near <br /> completion. The building for the irrigation and pump house has been <br /> installed and several fields have been completed, <br /> F The two Habitat for Hum, ariity Homes were deemed complete in February <br /> and in June of Zoo . <br /> Projects Approved at the Mgy 2007 Town Meeti : <br /> The Quashnet School Tennis Court Reconstruction Project; $104,000 <br /> equipment has been ordered, and it is anticipated to derive under budget <br /> assumptions. <br /> It was noted the Heritage Park Expansion—Phase 1I was approved at the <br /> May 2007 Town Meeting. Some of the work is being coordinated with <br /> Phase I to reduce cost constraints. <br /> Review of Articles and Motions for Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> The CPC Committee reviewed the articles for the October 2007 Town <br /> Meeting Warrant. Projects recommended for funding include; the Old <br /> Indian Meetinghouse, a Reconnaissance-Level Archeological Survey, <br /> Breezy Acres Expansion—Phase 11, the 10 Acre Site at South Cape Beach <br /> and High School Track Resurfacing Project. <br /> Additional articles set aside the Community Preservation Fund 10% <br /> reserve; $177,267 in each of the 3 categories; open space, affordable <br /> housing and historic purposes and$1,240,567 the FY08 Community <br /> Preservation Fund budgeted reserve. And,the appropriation of$20,000 <br /> from the Community Preservation Fund'-budgeted reserve for <br /> administrative and operating expenses. <br />
