It was noted that Marilyn Farren who will soon retire, <br /> is currently serving as the alternate member. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to appoint Tons Mayo as Alternate <br /> Representative to the Cape Cod Municipal Health Group as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cabalane. <br /> VOTE9. Approximately 80 citizens attended. The evert <br /> held at the Mashpee Library featumd volunteer experts and non-profits such as the <br /> Mashpee Chamber of Commerce and Cape Cod Municipal Health Group seeping <br /> volunteer support. The Cape Cod volunteer Center wfll be open on a monthly <br /> basis at the Mashpee Public Library. <br /> As a result of Friday's outcome, several participants have expressed an interest in <br /> volunteering in Mashpee Town government. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to volunteerism in the Town of Mashpee. It <br /> was noted the Cape Cod volunteer Program is willing to assist the Town <br /> independently for a cost o $500 per year. As the matter was reviewed,it was <br /> agreed the Town would make an effort internally to recognize those who serve as <br /> volunteers,and to improve upon outreach efforts. It was noted that a neighboring <br /> ton conducts an in-how workshop session to promote volunteerism. It was <br /> agreed that this matter would be further reviewed and considered by the Town of <br /> Mashpee. <br />
