25 May 2000 <br /> Rage 14. <br /> 1r. Sherman stated if Town Counsel determines that fresh water was never <br /> the intent of the statute, the zoning statute should be changed to include it. . <br /> Wild About Wildlife: Mr. Sherman advised the Commission has agreed to <br /> participate at the event at Ma hpee Commons on Jure loth. He will prepare <br /> the material but asked for volunteers to man the table from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg, Mrs. Moore and Mr. Wirsen volunteered. <br /> Cranberry Bog Subcommittee: Mr. Sherman advised the subcommittee <br /> consisted of John Johansen, Dave Sharpe (now deceased), Perry Ellis and <br /> Tack Fitzsimmons. Mr. Rosenberg was nominated to fill the vacancy. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to elect Elliot Rosenberg to serve on <br /> the Cranberry erry Bog Subcommittee. Steve Hurler has qualms, so does he. They wanted to get <br /> on an agenda in late June and do the work in July. That is optimistic as they <br /> will meed Natural Heritage review as there are rare species in the pond. <br /> They have been encouraged to not rush to judgement. He felt whenever they <br /> file, it is such an important thing and complete issue, he would recommend <br /> special meeting on an alternate Thursday. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg suggested they provide something specific in writing before <br /> the meeting and that the meeting only cover those matters, The Commission <br /> agreed. <br /> New S abury: Request received from Bernie G`rilmetti to put out life guard <br /> stations. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to allow the request. Unanimous vote. <br /> The Commission was piled to go into Executive Session to discuss the <br /> Quashnet Bogs and received an update on the EDB plume. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to go into Executive Session. <br /> Unanimous Vote, <br />
