8 : 15-Mashpee Conservationi i n Request, Determination of Applicability on the- proposed placement of wire screening over the herring run at the Mashpee River, Route 130, Assessor' s lap 27, Blocks 43 and 47 . Mr. Sherman explained this and the following two hearings are the result of volunteer work by John Reed. The request is to install screening over the herring run in order to prevent poaching. There would be no negative effects on wetland values . Mr. Sherman recommended a Negative Determination. There being no Commission or public input, the Chairman entertained a motion. MOTION: Carol Moore made a Motion for Negative Determination; which motion was seconded by Robert Shea and so voted unanimously. o- ashpee Conservation Commission Request, Determination of Applicability on the proposed installation of a locking gate at the herring run on the Mashpee River, Route 10, Assessor' s Map 35, Block 30 . Ir. Sherman explained the location to be the Indian museum area in an attempt to prevent night time poaching. He reconunen ed a Negative Deterr ination. There being no Commission or public input, the Chairman entertained a motion. MOTION: Ralph Shaw made a Motion for Negative Determination; which motion was seconded by Carol Moore and so voted unanimously. 2 -Mashpee Conservation commission Request, Determination of Applicability on the proposed installation of gates on both sides of the Quashnet River Crossing, Assessor' s Map 93-2 . i Mr. Sherman defined this location to be problematic as well . Request is being made to install gates on both sides of the crossing in an attempt to prevent poaching activities at night. There being no Commission or public input, the Chairman entertained a motion.
