Arlene h7ilson, BSG, representing Madaket Place (Sylvia & Sylvia) she was present
to respond to a letter which the B/H had sent on August 14,, 1984 relative to con-
tai w t on the project with regards to the water ProtectionBy-Law voted in at
the 1984 Annual Fawn meeting. "The overall permits was issued prior to Tern Meeting,,
the permits were submitted in February and voted on March 7,, 1984, the pert for
the carpentry shop was voted on two days before Ton meeting, however the propon-
ents of the project were discussing the project early on there were some discussions
with Mrs. Ander cm end the Sylvia s had agreed to pmvide secure space in the car-
pentry shop for the paints or varnixhes and that is still their intention and as
..
e noted in the lett (reply of B/H later) as soon as plzns are available they
will submit,, .if Mrs,, Anderson or, the Board has any suggestions they will be glad to
listen.
HL said the Board just wanted them to be cognizant of the fact that there may be
chance of contamination frc:rn say...a cabinet sho p, or whatever, certain materials
they may be using. Ms. Wilson agreed.
s. Tp7ilson wanted the Board to know the updated situation of the water testing,
the inorganic tuts were performed early on and there is sw-e high iron manganese
and the water is going to be treated for that and theme will be no problem with
DQE (discussions) , the volatile organics were taken and there seems to have been
an inordinate length of time between the taking of samples and the time they sat
around at the Lawrence Lab, the first two tests for the first well furthest to
the back of the property) bath of the samples came out clean; on the neer bqo
well, one test came out clean with the apparent same constituents of the first well
the second samle came out contaminatedwith benzine TCE perhaps frcrn a contaminated
battle. The wells wre started again on Friday Aug. 24th and on this date Wilson
met with Jack Maher for the rtes ting of well #2,, and those were received by the
Lawrence Lab before 2:30 p.m. today. As long as wells are going again bacterial
samples were taken and sent to Barnstable Cty results on those should be forth-
caning. she noted the Board of Appeals would be hearing the only other tenant to
be on 9/5/84, that is to be a Physical Therapist.
The Board thanked Ms. Wilson for her appearance..
