MINUTES November 2, 1989 3 BOARD of HEALTH Mr. Costa requested Mr. McQuaid to forward a memo to the Selectmen's office informing them of Mr. 1 ahon's operations within the town. 11 . Press release re: Radon testing for review - Board members were in reeane to forward ire ormation to e news media. 12. ) Grant planning package from D.P.H. Bureau of Child and Adolescent Health Program - Mr. Evans informed the Board the deadline is December 8, 1989. 13, Proposed new torn hall- space requirements survey - Mr. Costa stated he wouid forward his comments on the now town hall . 14. Request from R.D. Crane for commercial sticker - Mr. Doherty suggested a copy of the invoice for each item be presented at the time of disposal . Board members were in areeane. Mr. Doherty recommended thecompany of R.D. Crane be permitted to obtain a sticker for -this ,year at the required fee, next years sticker will be issued- free of charge. Doherty motioned to grant the commeftial ,sticker as ,requested with the stipulation any F disposing of appliances will require an i'6oi e, of the new item which shall be presented to -the gatekeeper which in turn will be sub.mitted ,to the Board of Health and a fee of $125.00 will be required for the 1989 sticker, the. 1990 sticker wi l l be issued free of charge,, Mr. Gree-i i sh seconded', all aeed. Mr. Evans relayed that other towns have initiated a program in which any appliance to be disposed of requires a- sticker, obtainable at the town clerk' s offioe, for a fee of $5.00. 15. ) Variance request, 109 Pine rest Avenue, R. Orlando - fir. McQuaid in- formed the Board the V.O.C. test has been analyzed, no contaminents were found. A variance is required from local Board of Health re- quirements between well and septic.
