Moroney <br /> Gordon Peters <br /> B. Acquisitions: A book: IRREDEEMABLE AFRI A, THE INDIAN ESTATE AND <br /> LAND CLADS, Edited by Imre Sutton. This boob had been sent over to <br /> the Archives by Joyce Mason from the Selectmen's Office. Joanne <br /> explained that the book included the Mashpee Land Suit. <br /> G. Liaison/Open House/Meetings: Joanne explained that the new selectman <br /> liaison was Curtis Frye, Joanne stated that they had not had much <br /> interaction with their liaisons in the past. Joanne suggested, since <br /> they did have a liaison, they should perhps invite him to sit in on <br /> some of their meetings and explain their future projects to hien. <br /> VI OTHER. <br /> A. Joanne mentioned that she had received the latest telephone bill for <br /> the Archives. There were a fear long-distance calls -on the bill.. There <br /> was one telephone call which had been made at 7:00 p. m. Joanne had <br /> no idea who had made that phone call. Joanne suggested that in the <br /> future, if anyone should use the phone for a call outside of the area, <br /> a log should be kept, so that they would be made- aware of who eras <br /> making the calls. <br /> B. Small Cities Grant: Ann Whitlow explained that she had mat with Bob <br /> Whritenour and Cynthia Sturgis relative to the future goals of the <br /> Archives. Cynthia Sturgis had set up a Community Action Statement, <br /> and compiled some documents. By the next meeting of the historical <br /> commission, Ann would have copies for the commissioners to review. <br /> The community action statement does not mean that they would acquire <br /> hose items, but down the road, they night be granted when the grant <br /> was written. A grant writer, Sharon Gaye has been hired by the Town. <br /> It was Sharon' 'opinion that the historical commission had the longest <br /> list, therefore she was hopeful that they may be granted part of their <br /> list. <br /> C. The board members moved, seconded 'and approved the three new candidates <br /> for -membership to -the -Ma hpee Historical Commissione <br /> Joanne passed out orientation guides to the new members. <br /> Coverage of the Archives during hours when the building would be open <br /> to the public was discussed by Ann Whitlo @ <br />
