We.are trying <br /> to digitize some of our old records to make them available electronically. <br /> Old business: <br /> Since the monies to restore the old 1858 map will most likely be approved at the <br /> October town meeting, Nancy contacted Seth Irvin who had agreed to do that <br /> restoration, as well as restore a fear other items. He has left the Cape and has taken-a <br /> job with the University of Hawaii, so he suggested two other paper conservators, and <br /> Nancy will get in touch with them to get estimated prices from them before we can move <br /> ahead. <br /> Frank Lord met with Joyce Mason, Tom Mayo, and Catherine Laurent to be updated on <br /> hover the Town is planning to renovate the present Archives building. As of the present <br /> r date, the renovations'have not yet begun. They are planning to get someone from the <br /> State of- Massachusetts to help therm deal correctly with the mold in the basement <br /> issues, then put in a handicapped bathroom and front access, and update the HVAC <br /> system. They also intend to replace the existing front and back doors. They are <br /> working to keep the project within the present budget of approximately $200,000. <br /> Rosemary suggested that they consider either a circular driveway or turnaround drop-off <br /> area in front of the existing building for handicap access instead of building a ramp in <br /> front of the building, providing, of course, that the costs are within the budget. <br /> We will contact The Indian Museum to see if 1 AGPF A could like to receive the parts of <br /> graveyard headstones that we have. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 5:1 prn. <br /> The.date for our-net meeting has been tentatively set for Thursday, October 11 th, or <br /> h <br /> Monday, October 1 . <br /> I <br /> 5 <br /> ■ <br /> I # ' <br /> i <br />
