IL <br /> Minutes of the Me t <br /> of the Mashvee MashHousing Authority <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> March 1 , 1996 <br /> r <br /> The meeting of the Mashpee Housing Authority ward of Commissioner's was called to order at <br /> 7:06 p.m.and a quorum declared with the following members present: Stu Peoples,Antoinette <br /> Brooks,Jaynes Long, Constance Mills,and Karen Rudd. Also in attendance was Carolyn Reed, <br /> Executive Director. <br /> Mr.Peoples changed the order ofgenda to allow for Tom F"ud.ula to address the board regarding <br /> the Mashpee Comprehensive Plan--Affordable Housing. Some discussion ensued regarding sites <br /> designated in the plan as affordable housing to Mashpee Housing Authority; the meed for <br /> affordable housing; resources,etc. to provide affordable housing. This draft will be formally <br /> presented at the May Town ll eetiixg for consideration. Once approved,,goals will be put into <br /> action,i.e. establishing an Affordable Housing Conumhtee Partnership etc. Subsequent to <br /> further discussion,and questions,a motion was made by Mrs. Brooks and seconded by Mr. Long <br /> that the Mashpee Housing Authority support and endorse the Affordable Housing section of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan for the Town of l ashp . The motion' was adopted. <br /> A motion was made by IVIS.Budd and seconded by Mr. Peoples to accept the minutes of the <br /> Regular Meeting held on February 8, 1996. The notion was adopted. <br /> TREASURER'S REPORT: <br /> RT: <br /> Account Balances as of 9 9 : <br /> 40001 $ 7,518.76.'7 (Checking) $16,027.51 (Savings <br /> IRP $29,030-06 <br /> Section$17,029.81 <br /> Board members reviewed accounts payables,budget to acts report and budget narrative 'report. <br /> Tenant I ern uen <br /> All rents and/or repayment pians are current. There is a new Transitional Housing Participant as <br /> of March 16, 1$996. 667-1 Recertif"rcations are completed. <br /> motion was made by Ms.Rudd and seconded by Mrs.Mills to accept the Treasurer's Report as <br /> presented. The motion carried. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> FY96 budget are still at OCD waiting approval. Telephone conversation with John Bannon <br /> indicates that EOCD is not willing to grant the exception to waive the 0%cap. Health Insurance <br /> will have to be taken out of the provision for operating reserve which will leave the budget at <br /> approximately 65%of maximum. Requ sts for replacement of Mor appliances will be <br /> considered either piece bypiece or through mod montes. Extraordinary to=* ermce (unit <br /> turnovers) should be addressed through the budget revision process. <br />
