Executive Director's Report
For the month of December 2005
Program update:
Homever Village/667: We had all rents paid in full. The tenant we had the judgment
against is in the process of moving voluntarily. We had one death this past month. The family
is in the process of cleaning out the apartment. We will have these two units to prepare for
new tenants.
Breezy Acres/705: We had all rents paid in full and we are at 100% occupancy.
Meetings attended: I attended the SHADO (Small Housing Authority Directors Organization)
meeting, the WHCTF (Women's Health Care Task Force) meeting, and the MassNAHRO Fall
Conference. I also had a meeting with Mashpee Commons and Louise Patrick, director of
Mashpee Human Services regarding a new initiative, which I will speak more about at our next
meeting. I met with managers at Mashpee Village regarding tenant selection procedures and
the regulations we are required to follow.
MISC:
• The monthly MRVP/AHVP/DMH reports were submitted.
The monthly Energy Consumption reports were submitted.
• I have not yet heard from the town regarding our request that they waive our P.I.L.O.T.
(Payment in Lieu of Taxes) this year
• We received two responses to the Request for Proposals for the Asher's Path
development.
• The application for CPA funding was delivered. We received a letter from Mr. Taylor, a
copy of which was forwarded to you. There is a public hearing January 17.
• Most of the money due to us from Barnstable Housing Authority has been paid. There is
a small amount still due and I've sent a letter (again) to the Leased Housing
Coordinator.
I've worked hard to compile an application for CPA funding, which we will talk about at
our meeting tonight. Letters of support have been received from The Wampanoag Tribe
(Alice Lopez), Mashpee Police Department (Ann Howell), Mashpee Human Services
(Louise Patrick), and Representative Matthew Patrick. These letters are part of the
application packet (which you have a copy of in your packet).
Annual Recertification packets have been mailed out to all Homeyer Village and Breezy
Acres residents. Recertifications are due in to the office on January 17.
• Louise Patrick and I will meet with Jim Vacarro (for Mashpee Commons) on January 10
about the office space for human service related agencies. I will update you at our next
meeting.
AHVP Vouchers: We have 1 AHVP voucher.
MRVP Vouchers (Mobile): Currently we have 12 voucher holders in Mashpee.
MRVP Project Based Vouchers: We currently have 38 PB Vouchers leased.
DHM Program: We currently have 3 leased.
Section 8: We currently have 23 Housing Choice Vouchers leased in Mashpee.
