i MASHPER FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES FEBRUARY 27, 1996 MEETING COMMENCED AT . o M Finance Committee members present: Marcia King, Chairman; Sid Golub; Dan Goggin; Alec watt; Mike Kumin; Tony Gallo and Juan Baciqalupi. The meeting was held at the �ashpee Police Station., Please note for the record that the taping of this 'meeting is for the transcription of the Minutes only,, once the Minutes are approved, the tapes will be rein ed. Minutes Juan Bacigalupi Motioned to accept the Minutes of January 1 , 1996 as written, Tony Gallo seconded the Motion and members approved - , Mr, Goggin and Mr. Golub abstaining, Sid Golub Motioned to accept the Minutes of February 6, 1996 as written. Mr. Go'gcj in seconded the Motion and members approved -C , Mr. Gallo and Mr. Bacigalupi abstaining. Juan S oigalupi Motioned to accept the Minutes of February 13 , 1996 as written. Mr. Goggin seconded the Motion and members approved 6-0 . Mr, Gallo abstaining. Dan Goggin Motioned to accept the Minutes of February 2 , 1996 as written. Mr, Golub seconded he Motion and members approved 5MMO, Mr. Gallo and Mr. Baci alupi abstaining. Treasurer/TaxTreasurer/Tax Collector The increase in Ms. Shaw's budget is a salary increase for herself of 3 COLA and 2 ,,5-% COLA, plus -one day for the extra day in February, The Finance Committee asked Ms. Shaw questions .about foreclosure, tax title and delinquencies. Ms. Shaw indicated that delinquencies were not as bad this year as previous years. She also mentioned that quarterly tax bills- were wonderful. Ms. Shaw provided the Committee with a copy of school financing., There was auesti.on about the Treasurer"s lock box and bill printing. Ms. Shaw explained that these two iters are out to bid She also mentioned that a few bank have called and are interested in the lock box, Ms. Shaw indicated that the salaries account is lower because her office staff was hired at lower steps than previous employees. Mr. Goggin Motioned to approve a 31 salary increase only for Ms. Shaw and keep tho rei na i n i ng budget as was requested, Sid Golub seconded the Motion aind members approved 5-0,, Mr. Bacigalupi opposing. He believed the Treasurer should receive % as requested-.
