2
Fire Station Building Committee
Minutes
September 19, 2001
Asphalt Pav%n
The sum of$9,000 was projected to complete the initial asphalt paving.
All essential areas will be paved by the designated subcontractor
Lawrence Lynch under the direction of the Clerk of the works and DPW
Director. Asphalt patchwork areas include all cut-out areas, access to the
generator, in front of the apparatus bays and paving to the back doors for
security and safety purposes.
Funding for orae-half of the project cost is to be assumed within the FY02
budget of the Department of Public Works. It was noted that the FY0
budget of the DPW would allocate funding for the final coat of asphalt to
complete paving related to the Fire and Police Department complex.
Motion made by Nor. Wezniak to author im the expenditure of a sum
not to exceed $4,500-for the asphalt patchwork as designated.
Motion seconded by Dr. Petti,
VOTE:: Unanimous.
Tight Tank Pumping in Fees;
The Clerk of the Works was directed to obtain price quotes for initial fees
associated to the pumping of the tight tom. At this time, discharge fees
for the pumping of the hazardous waste material would derive from the
town's building & grounds maintenance account.
Project overview:
w
The Committee agreed to remit to Standen Contracting Company, an
invoice in the amount of$175.00 from Associated Elevator for the repair
of the elevator ear door kick-plate. The elevator car door kick-plate was
observed by the Clerk of the Works as being loose upon installation.
Correspondence was received from Standen slated September 7, 2001
relative to electrical work associated to phase 11. Standen has requested
that the WFG provide appropriate design specifications for the electrical
panels. A quote was received from the architect in the amount of$2,000
in response to the request from Standen, The Committee deemed the
matter a design omission. There was no action.
l - -
