2 <br /> Fire Station Building Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> September 19, 2001 <br /> Asphalt Pav%n <br /> The sum of$9,000 was projected to complete the initial asphalt paving. <br /> All essential areas will be paved by the designated subcontractor <br /> Lawrence Lynch under the direction of the Clerk of the works and DPW <br /> Director. Asphalt patchwork areas include all cut-out areas, access to the <br /> generator, in front of the apparatus bays and paving to the back doors for <br /> security and safety purposes. <br /> Funding for orae-half of the project cost is to be assumed within the FY02 <br /> budget of the Department of Public Works. It was noted that the FY0 <br /> budget of the DPW would allocate funding for the final coat of asphalt to <br /> complete paving related to the Fire and Police Department complex. <br /> Motion made by Nor. Wezniak to author im the expenditure of a sum <br /> not to exceed $4,500-for the asphalt patchwork as designated. <br /> Motion seconded by Dr. Petti, <br /> VOTE:: Unanimous. <br /> Tight Tank Pumping in Fees; <br /> The Clerk of the Works was directed to obtain price quotes for initial fees <br /> associated to the pumping of the tight tom. At this time, discharge fees <br /> for the pumping of the hazardous waste material would derive from the <br /> town's building & grounds maintenance account. <br /> Project overview: <br /> w <br /> The Committee agreed to remit to Standen Contracting Company, an <br /> invoice in the amount of$175.00 from Associated Elevator for the repair <br /> of the elevator ear door kick-plate. The elevator car door kick-plate was <br /> observed by the Clerk of the Works as being loose upon installation. <br /> Correspondence was received from Standen slated September 7, 2001 <br /> relative to electrical work associated to phase 11. Standen has requested <br /> that the WFG provide appropriate design specifications for the electrical <br /> panels. A quote was received from the architect in the amount of$2,000 <br /> in response to the request from Standen, The Committee deemed the <br /> matter a design omission.
