T <br /> At end of the Friends monthly meeting, Lauren M., th.e teen representative, had prepared a <br /> Power Point presentation to purpose the creation of a TAC (Teen Advisory Group). The TAG <br /> would be responsible for initiating teen programming and decorating the Teen Room. Since <br /> ti-me was running short, she was unable to shove her presentation. Barbara pointed out that in <br /> order to create this group she would need a staff liaison. 1 invited Lauren to come back later <br /> that week to meet with Kathy Mahoney and me. We met with Lauren on April 8th and mad <br /> plans to have the-first TAG meeting at the Mashp a High School in May with Kathy as the. <br /> facilitator. <br /> In collaboration with Elaine P nd r, the neer vice-principal at the K. C. Coombs School, vire <br /> offered a "'Countdown to Kindergarten", story timat the library on April 6th. There were <br /> people who enjoyed st ri s.ab ut entering Kindergarten, created a craft, arnd,br ws d the <br /> book display. <br /> The Kids I lub Preschool visited the library on April 1". There were 21 childrenhparticipated <br /> in the seasonal story time. <br /> Rosemary Modic, Early Childhood Specialist, is running two sessions of Toddle Time each week <br /> which is supported by the Coalition for Children. The Coalition for Children- is also supporting a <br /> weekly Creative Move'ment crass and a Mixed Age Playgroup. The Mashp a Family and <br /> Community Partnership is sponsoring Lap Babies.
