x Mashpee Public Library Director's Report for November Board Meeting CLAMS circulation figures for the mirth of October were 13,791,which represents an increase from the October 2011 figure of13,208. Overall, our year-to-date circulation stands at , 8751,which is an incre sef last year's year-to-date figure of 64,422. Circulation figures for eBooks checked out In the month of October carne in at 783. As of the end of September, total e -check-outs by Ma patrons totaled 3282, or 6.9% of the total eBook circulation in the CLAMS system. Currently, 1126 Mashpee patrons are registered eBook users,which accounts for about % of all eBook users in the CLAMS system. The figures for new library cards issued in'October 2012 are not yet available from the LADS system. During the month of October the first floor Event and Conference Rooms were booked for 42 meetings and programs, which were attended by a total of522 patrons. A number ofmeetings or programs were cancelled thi month due t severe ire th r�. OTHER ACTIVI'T'IES On October 12, I submitted the State Aid Financial Report to the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. The Library was fully-compliant in all areas and our state aid award should be considered and processed at the December M LC meeting. The new round of LSTA grant opportunities has leen announced by the M I C. In order to apply for a grant filing deadline is March 2013), a library must submit a letter of intent to the MBLC by December 1, 2013.- As a rule, a library can only apply and be considered for one LST .grant each award cycle. There are manor worthwhile projects being offered this year, and the community munity r uld benefit from any number of the initiatives. I have narrowed the field down t two: Serving Tweens and Teem, and Customer Service in Digital Age. I plan t send a letter of intent for each, and then decide which one to pursue.
