x <br /> Mashpee Public Library <br /> Director's Report for November Board Meeting <br /> CLAMS circulation figures for the mirth of October were 13,791,which represents an <br /> increase from the October 2011 figure of13,208. Overall, our year-to-date circulation <br /> stands at , 8751,which is an incre sef last year's year-to-date figure of 64,422. <br /> Circulation figures for eBooks checked out In the month of October carne in at 783. As <br /> of the end of September, total e -check-outs by Ma patrons totaled 3282, or <br /> 6.9% of the total eBook circulation in the CLAMS system. Currently, 1126 Mashpee <br /> patrons are registered eBook users,which accounts for about % of all eBook users in <br /> the CLAMS system. <br /> The figures for new library cards issued in'October 2012 are not yet available from the <br /> LADS system. <br /> During the month of October the first floor Event and Conference Rooms were booked <br /> for 42 meetings and programs, which were attended by a total of522 patrons. A number <br /> ofmeetings or programs were cancelled thi month due t severe ire th r�. <br /> OTHER ACTIVI'T'IES <br /> On October 12, I submitted the State Aid Financial Report to the Massachusetts <br /> Board of Library Commissioners. The Library was fully-compliant in all areas <br /> and our state aid award should be considered and processed at the December <br /> M LC meeting. <br /> The new round of LSTA grant opportunities has leen announced by the M I C. <br /> In order to apply for a grant filing deadline is March 2013), a library must <br /> submit a letter of intent to the MBLC by December 1, 2013.- As a rule, a library <br /> can only apply and be considered for one LST .grant each award cycle. There <br /> are manor worthwhile projects being offered this year, and the community munity r uld <br /> benefit from any number of the initiatives. I have narrowed the field down t <br /> two: Serving Tweens and Teem, and Customer Service in Digital Age. I plan t <br /> send a letter of intent for each, and then decide which one to pursue.
