Mason, Town Manager
Date: December 23, 2004
Subject: Requests for Funds (Cable Committee)
Effective immediately, any requests for fiords from the Cable account must be prepared
in writing, contain a full explanation for the need, and be submitted to the Mashpee Cable
and Advanced Technology Advisory Board (MCAT) ten(10) days in advance of the
meeting date. If not initiated by the department head, such requests should indicate
submission is with the knowledge and approval of the respective head of the initiating
party.
At the requested meeting date, the presenter(s) are requested to appear and further clarify
the need for such funding. The MCAT board will then postpone any further action
(unless it is deemed an emergency situation) until the subsequent meeting, during which
time the MCAT board may seek further information before rendering a recommendation
to the Board of Selectmen.
One of the MCAT board's primary responsibilities is to hear, review, discuss and
research, funding proposals to determine whether the requests fall within the criteria for
granting such funds. They will then make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen,
which will make the final decision to grant or dismiss the request.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give me a call.
c: Board of Selectmen
Cable Advanced Technology Advisory Board
