7 Board of Selectmen Minutes May 21, 2018 APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS Joint Meeting with Finance Committee—Exit Interview with the FY 2017 Auditors: (continued) Grants to Housing Authority Recommendation to evaluate the cost-benefit of adding contractual requirements in those instances when it grants funds to other organizations and/or requiring all grants on a reimbursement basis with requirements to be met for reimbursement. The Town may want to pursue the requirement of a formal contract with the Mashpee Housing Authority as well as any other organization that receives Town funds. It was recommended the MHA provide a response to the Board of Selectmen regarding the management finding. And, the Town would not make discretionary funding until the Mashpee Housing Authority has complied with the audit finding. In closing, Town Manager Rodney C. Collins gave credit and expressed appreciation to his Financial Team for their hard work ethics, recognizing the Finance Director and Treasurer/Tax Collector for their stellar effectiveness and efficiencies. Mashpee Commons Presentation Northbridge Conservation Restriction; Tom Feronti: Thomas Feronti was in attendance representing Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership to request approval of the Northbridge Conservation Restriction which has been slightly revised to bring forth clarification on the existing footpaths. With the Board's approval, the document will be submitted to the Conservation Commission for acceptance, and then move forward to the approval process with the Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Conservation Restriction on a 7.280 acre portion of three parcels; 99-35,36,37 Great Neck Road South, Mashpce as presented.
