7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 21, 2018 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Joint Meeting with Finance Committee—Exit Interview with the FY 2017 Auditors: (continued) <br /> Grants to Housing Authority <br /> Recommendation to evaluate the cost-benefit of adding contractual requirements in those instances <br /> when it grants funds to other organizations and/or requiring all grants on a reimbursement basis with <br /> requirements to be met for reimbursement. <br /> The Town may want to pursue the requirement of a formal contract with the Mashpee Housing <br /> Authority as well as any other organization that receives Town funds. It was recommended the MHA <br /> provide a response to the Board of Selectmen regarding the management finding. And, the Town <br /> would not make discretionary funding until the Mashpee Housing Authority has complied with the <br /> audit finding. <br /> In closing, Town Manager Rodney C. Collins gave credit and expressed appreciation to his Financial <br /> Team for their hard work ethics, recognizing the Finance Director and Treasurer/Tax Collector for their <br /> stellar effectiveness and efficiencies. <br /> Mashpee Commons Presentation Northbridge Conservation Restriction; Tom Feronti: <br /> Thomas Feronti was in attendance representing Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership to request <br /> approval of the Northbridge Conservation Restriction which has been slightly revised to bring forth <br /> clarification on the existing footpaths. With the Board's approval, the document will be submitted to <br /> the Conservation Commission for acceptance, and then move forward to the approval process with the <br /> Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Conservation Restriction on a 7.280 acre <br /> portion of three parcels; 99-35,36,37 Great Neck Road South, Mashpce as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Opposed, none <br />
