Lynch <br /> questioned how the community members and parent <br /> representatives will be selected? After much discussion, Mrs. cook <br /> suggested empowering Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Lynch to decide who <br /> will serve. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Paxton, seconded by Ms. Macdonald, to <br /> empower Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Lynch to select the two community <br /> members and one parent to serve on the superintendent search <br /> committee. <br /> VOTE:. Unanimous <br /> Mr. Paxton questioned coaching preference given to teachers' unit <br /> as opposed to the other units. Dr. DeMoura said there is a section <br /> in the teachers' contract that allows 14% over the three-gear period <br /> to encourage diversity. However, ultimately it is the principal's <br /> recommendation. He said this will be an item of discussion during <br /> the upcoming negotiations. <br /> Mrs. Lynch asked when the freshman football team goes to an <br /> "away' game, are we sending 33 children with only 1 coach? The <br /> answer was "yes." She was concerned over the ratio of 33:1 for <br /> freshmen supervision while there are two assistants that travel <br /> with the varsity team. Nor. Williams will discuss this with Athletic <br /> Director Mr. Moine. <br /> XII.
