i <br /> 7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 14, 2002 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Joint A ointment—PlanningBoard Associate Member: <br /> The Board of Selectmen net in joint convention with members of the <br /> Planning Burd for the purpose of appointing an Associate Member. <br /> M shpee resident, Ikon Myers submitted a letter of interest and was the <br /> recommended candidate for appointment. In attendance, planning Board <br /> members Martine Meiiering, Beverly Kane and Dennis Bal arini. <br /> Motion made by Ms.Meijering to.appoint.Don Byers as an Associate <br /> Member of the Planning Board. <br /> Motion seconded by Ms. Dane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 8-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: Sel&tman Cahalane,yes Selectman Marsters, yes <br /> Selectman Taylor,yes Selectman Green,yes <br /> Selectman Leveille,yes <br /> Ms.Meijerin , yes Ms.Dane,yes <br /> Mr.Balzarini,yes Opposed, none <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Cemete Operations &Fee Structure. <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed the draft Memorandum of <br /> Understanding for the operation and fee structure of the Town Cemeteries. <br /> Amendments to the fee structure include a $900 fee for adults both <br /> resident and non-resident for the opening and closing costs to include a <br /> liner and the option for advance payment. <br /> Fred Blythe, Cemetery Building Committee Chairman indicated that his <br /> committee voted to accept in concept the Request for Proposal for the <br /> opening and closing maintenance responsibilities of burial lots and <br /> cremation remains, and the RFP for the grounds keeping maintenance <br /> responsibilities of all Torn Cemeteries. <br /> It was noted that the proposed position description for the positin of <br /> Superintendent of Cemetery Operations would be considered as a separate <br /> process. <br />
