14 <br /> • Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 11, 2002 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Public Safety Day_ <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to place the above topic on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green.. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous.-5-0. <br /> Late-filed information was received with regards to an upcoming;family <br /> day to be held at the Boys and Girls Club in conjunction with an-Open <br /> House at the Police and Fire Departments. The Selectmen were requested <br /> to consider approving-ahold harmlessagreementfor the use of a MMR <br /> helicopter at the public-safety event. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve a hold-harmless <br /> agreement for the use of a helicopter at the referenced family-event <br /> pending legal counsel's review and approval. <br /> • Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Amendment to Hiring Freeze: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to place the above topic-on the <br /> Selectmen's agenda. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5A <br /> The Selectmen considered amending the recent hiring freeze authorization <br /> to require the following for any position vacancy; <br /> A Department Head shall remit formal request to the Selectmen to fill the <br /> intended position; and submit to the Selectmen, an evaluation-asro why <br /> the position is in need of continuance. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to amend the recent hiring freeze <br /> authorization to include the above referenced amendment. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
