4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 11, 2002 <br /> Meeting reconvened: 6:31 p.m. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, February 25 2002 Regular and Executive Sessions: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Regular and <br /> Executive Session minutes of Monday, February 25,2002 as <br /> presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Monday, March 4, 2002 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Regular Session <br /> minutes of Monday,March 4, 2002 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> The Selectmen acknowledged the Quashnet School students, staff and <br /> parents for contributing over $6,000 to the American Red Cross in relief <br /> funds. A ceremony in honor of the victims and heroes of the September <br /> 1 Ith tragedy was held at the school. Retired New York City firefighter <br /> Robert Beckwith was present to accept the donation, and attend the <br /> ceremony. <br /> COMMUNICAITONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Library Building Committee: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Library Building Committee dated <br /> February 27, 2002 requesting the Selectmen provide a reasonable <br /> expenditure for the library expansion project. <br /> The Building Committee has made significant progress in planning the <br /> library expansion to meet the needs of the growing population of the <br /> Town. A 15,000 square addition is proposed. <br />
